Academic Results
At Dunton Green we strongly believe that achievement occurs in a range of ways, not least of which is through persistant effort across all subjects and producing personal bests through hard work and application. To this end, we not only celebrate success in National Tests but also through a good mark in a spelling test, an improvement in behaviour, a music exam, a sporting success. We celebrate these successes in weekly Praise Assemblies, through Headteacher awards (which can be given to any nominated child at any time), through inclusion on our “WOW WALL” and through public celebration on our weekly newsletter.
Each year, the children in Year 2 and Year 6 sit national SATs tests. Pupils’ raw test scores are converted into scaled scores to decide whether pupils had met the expected standard for the end of Key Stage 2. The results of these tests are summarised in the attachment below.
In addition to this, children in Reception sit baseline assessment, children in Year 1 undertake a phonics screening and children in Year 4 take the multiplication tables check.
The government will not publish KS2 school level data for the 2021 to 2022 academic year. they have archived data from the 2018 to 2019 academic year because they recognise that the data from that year may no longer reflect current practice.
