Who are our Governors?

The Governing Body of Dunton Green Primary School:

Mrs Sarah Brown - Chair of Governors

Sarah Brown was appointed as a Local Authority governor in 2014. She was elected Vice-Chair in March 2016 and appointed Chair in November 2016. She is a member of the Finance and Resources Committee.

Sarah was a Senior Civil Servant in the Department of Trade and Industry for many years where her responsibilities included company law, financial services regulation and personal management.  Having taken early retirement, she has had a wide variety of roles in the public, regulatory and charity sectors including Vice Chair of a Primary Care Trust, member of the Competition Commission, and lay member of the Bar Standards Board.  She is currently trustee of two charities.

Sarah is married and has lived in Sevenoaks for over 40 years.


  Ms Tracey Boanas - Headteacher

Tracey Boanas took up the Headship at Dunton Green in June 2017. This is Tracey's second headteacher post and she has experience of working in four other schools prior to Dunton Green. Tracey has been over whelmed by the community spirit at Dunton Green and is passionate about providing a first class education for every pupil.

She believes that every child has a hidden talent which needs to be discovered and nurtured. She aims to prepare pupils for secondary transition by not only ensuring that they are academically able, but that they can play a musical instrument, swim confidently and find a sport they love; she believes these attributes will provide a platform for growth and future life opportunities.

She also take the responsibility of developing her staff team very seriously and strongly encourages aspiration for both staff and pupils.

Tracey is a mother of 3 children. She enjoys learning languages and loves visiting the theatre. Tracey is also a trained chef and loves to entertain family and friends.

  Mrs Karen Forster-Pearce - Co-opted

Karen became a Community Governor in 2009 and has been a Co-Opted Governor since 2015.  She has special responsibilities with the Early Years Foundation Stage and Governors Training and Development - informing Governors of forthcoming Training sessions they can attend.  Karen is a representative at the District Governor Forum and a member of the Strategies and Teaching Achievement Committee. She enjoys coming into school to see all the staff and children in their learning environment.

Karen keeps herself busy supporting charities and organisations, as Trustee, Secretary and at fund-raising events which she enjoys and is active in the local community.  She has worked in the Magistrates’ Court and Facilities Management Company.  Karen now works in the Social Housing Sector.  She attends the local Church and has one teenage child.


  Mr Mark Craig - Co-opted

Mark became a Governor in November 2017 and sits on the Pupil wellbeing and development committee. 
He and his family have lived in Dunton for 10 years, his daughter is currently a pupil at the school and his son is also a former Dunton Green pupil now studying at Skinners School. Mark is the owner of two businesses and prides himself on developing a great place to work for his team that provide care and support services for elderly people throughout Kent. 

Mark is also the leader of the 7th Sevenoaks (Halstead) Scout troop, he is a keen runner and enjoys spending time in the great outdoors.


 Mrs Rachel Dooley - Co-opted

  Mr Paul Geradine - Co-opted

Paul became a Co-opted Governor in July 2018 and is a member of the Finance and Resources Committee.Paul is a Chartered Accountant and has had a lengthy career in the financial services industry specialising in governance, regulatory and compliance issues.

Paul and his wife, Laura, have lived in the Sevenoaks area for over 20 years and have three adult daughters who were all educated locally.

Paul and Laura enjoy travelling in Europe, particularly in France, and Paul is also a keen road cyclist.

  Mr Chris Gush - Co-opted

Chris became a Co-opted Governor in May 2016 and is a member of the Pupil Development Committee and Pay and Rewards Committee. 

Chris has spent many years leading healthcare organisations to innovate and improve the quality of care that they deliver. He is currently Executive Director at the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Charity.

Chris spends as much time as possible with his two young children and is a keen runner and Rugby enthusiast. 

  Mr Rowland Constantine - Co-opted

Rowland Constantine is delighted to have been elected as a Governor at Dunton Green Primary School.  He was originally elected as an Associate Member and became a full Governor in February 2017.

Now retired, he has worked in schools throughout his career at Junior and Senior School level, in both state and Independent sectors. For most of that time, he has been head teacher of two preparatory schools; he has also been pleased to serve as School Governor and Chair of Governors in other school settings.

He is an unreformed idealist as far as schools are concerned, believing strongly in their potential for enhancing children’s lives not only materially but also in terms of their enjoyment of life in areas such as sport, art, music and drama.

He will take special interest at Dunton Green in Standards, Teaching and Assessment as well as Literacy.

He is married with three children and four grandchildren and has lived in Sevenoaks for the past 40 years.

  Mrs Nicole Pomies - Parent Governor

Nicole became a Parent Governor in June 2013 and chairs the Strategies, Teaching and Achievement Committee.  She also has special responsibility for Safeguarding and Internet Safety.

Nicole has three children, two of which still attend the school and has lived in the village her whole life - even attending the school herself as a child.  Since her eldest joined the school in 2009 she has been an active member of the PTA.

Nicole has spent most of her working career at BT and loves her job.  In her spare time Nicole enjoys shopping, reading and spending time with her family.

Mrs Lee Roughton - Parent Governor

Lee became a Parent Governor in October 2016 and now chairs the Finance & Resources committee. 

Lee has lived in Dunton Green for 12 years and has twin boys currently attending the school.

Lee has worked for several large companies as a Management Accountant and Financial Controller and is now the Finance Manager at a local independent Primary school.

Outside of work, Lee enjoys visiting the theatre, baking and spending time with family and friends.

  Mr Stephen Reilly - Parent Governor

 Stephen became a Parent Governor in 2016 and now chairs the Standards, Teaching & Assessment committee.

He has lived in Dunton Green for 6 years and has two children who attend the school.

Stephen is an HR professional, having achieved Chartered CIPD status in 2007. He specialises in resourcing and recruitment, with a passion for early careers attraction and development (trainee, apprenticeship and graduate). He is a Fellow of the Institute of Recruitment Professional and a member of the British Psychological Society, focussing on the use of digital assessment in the workplace.
