In and Around Dunton Green

Over the past year Dunton Green Primary School has worked hard to increase its links in the local community.  We now:

  • Sing at Christmas for our Senior Citizens
  • In Key Stage 1 have a real focus on local geography and history based topics
  • Invite parents, grandparents and other people into the school to talk to us about the school and area history
  • Sing in the village remembrance service
  • Sing at the village Christmas Service
  • Have a presence at village events
  • Advertise classes and opportunities for our young people and their families at the new pavillion
  • Have a youth worker from local group Faithworks supporting our breakfast club on a Thursday
  • Visit the local church in all KS1 year groups
  • Our Headteacher writes a quarterly common in the Parish magazine!
  • Have weekly helpers from Trinity Secondary School and Sevenoaks School coming in to support children

We are always keen to hear of new initiatives and ideas to get involved in within the local area so if you hear of anything then please do get in touch!
