Pupil Responsibilities

Head Boy and Head Girl

In September 2014 we  appointed our first ever Head Boy and Head Girl.  In order to gain the position all candidates had to submit a letter of application and those who were shortlisted were invited to interview by the Headteacher and were then selected by the whole school.  Every member of the school community - whether staff or pupil had an equal vote, which we used as an opportunity to teach the principles of democracy to our children.

The responsibilities of our Head Boy and Head Girl include representing the school at formal events such as parents meetings, open evenings, the village remembrance service and all local events.

They also attend regular meetings with the Headteacher to discuss school improvement, show guests around the school and participate in a forum, with local councillors designed to look at how to improve our immediate locality.

This year's Headboy is Harry Preece and Headgirl is Demi Doyle.

The announcement of the Headboy and Headgirl for 2017-2018 will take place on in September 2017.
