Music

We have an active choir and recorder groups in school.  Peripatetic teachers offer tuition in piano,  drums, guitar and brass instruments.  Peripatetic lessons are charged for by the tutors and information can be found in the office if you are interested in these sessions. We are always looking to offer more musical opportunities for our children.

Each year a whole class learn trumpet (usually year 4). The tuition is provided by Graham Thomas of Kent Music and funded through the Wider Opportunities Fund. These lessons take place on a Tuesday mornings.

We have also been fortunate enough to be selected for the national “Don’t stop the music” campaign which has seen recent donations of 9 guitars, a piano and a drumkit to the school.

The school choir play an active role in the local community, performing at Ightham Mote at Christmas, for our senior citizens at tea parties held in the school, for charities and also at village events such as remembrance services.
